The Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD) has introduced the Trusted Builder and Developer Program to honor its long-standing members. This initiative acknowledges builders and developers who have been part of BILD for at least 25 years, highlighting their dedication to the Greater Toronto Area's (GTA) growth and development.
Dave Wilkes, President and CEO of BILD, emphasized that the program not only celebrates seasoned industry leaders but also recognizes their significant contributions to the region and the association. He stated, "This recognition underscores their dedication to building homes and communities in the GTA."
To qualify for the Trusted Builder and Developer designation, companies must maintain good standing with BILD, have no unresolved ethics complaints, and have been members for at least 25 years. Currently, over 80 members meet these criteria, showcasing their resilience through various economic cycles and market changes.
Wilkes highlighted that these members have adapted to significant shifts, including economic downturns, policy changes, and technological advancements in construction. He noted, "Members of the Trusted Builder Program are the companies who have shaped our cityscapes and supported causes that improve the quality of life for everyone in the GTA."
The Trusted Builder and Developer certification mark allows eligible members to feature a unique logo in their marketing materials, signifying their commitment to high standards in building practices and ethical conduct. This initiative aims to provide the public with a reliable way to identify trusted builders and developers in the region.
With this program, BILD continues its mission to support and advocate for the building and development industry. The association represents 1,200 member companies and plays a vital role in the GTA's economy, contributing 256,000 jobs and $39.3 billion in investment value.
