Boffo Developments, a family-owned real estate company from Burnaby, is moving forward with the second phase of its Bassano project near Holdom Station. This phase includes plans for a 45-storey residential tower at the southeast corner of Springer Avenue and Lougheed Highway.
The proposed tower will offer 336 condominium units, featuring 126 one-bedroom, 168 two-bedroom, and 42 three-bedroom apartments. Residents will have access to a four-level underground parking garage with 418 vehicle spaces and 740 bicycle slots.
This development is part of the larger Bassano Master Plan, which received approval from the City of Burnaby in July 2022. The plan outlines the construction of four high-rise towers in three phases on a 4.1-acre site, just a short walk from Holdom Station.
Phase One, initiated in June 2023, involves a 43-storey tower on Springer Avenue's southwest corner. This building is set to provide 318 condominium units and is expected to be completed by 2028.
The Bassano project is named after Bassano del Grappa, an Italian city that is the ancestral home of the Boffo family. The development aims to create a community with diverse housing options and amenities to cater to various income levels and age groups.
As the tallest structure in the Bassano development, the 45-storey tower in Phase Two will significantly contribute to the transformation of the area around Holdom Station, enhancing both its skyline and residential offerings.
